Arkadelphia Alliance and Chamber Endorses the ‘Keep Moving Arkadelphia Forward’ Initiative

ARKADELPHIA, AR, Feb. 13, 2024: Following its February board meeting, the Arkadelphia Regional Economic Development Alliance and Area Chamber of Commerce (Alliance) Board of Directors proudly announces its endorsement and support of the ‘Keep Moving Arkadelphia Forward’ initiative. This vital campaign, heartily embraced by the city’s residents in 2019, has significantly enhanced Arkadelphia's municipal services, public facilities, and infrastructure, making a profound impact on the community's overall well-being and safety.

Over the past four years, the 'Move Arkadelphia Forward' initiative has been a catalyst for improvements throughout the city. From repairing streets and sidewalks to upgrading storm drainage systems, the initiative has reshaped the landscape of Arkadelphia. Furthermore, investments in public safety have facilitated advanced equipment and technology upgrades, fortifying the city's commitment to keeping its residents safe.

“Our community competes daily with locations across the state and southeast region for jobs and investment dollars,” said Shelley Short, President and CEO of the Arkadelphia Alliance and Chamber. “Time-and-again, a major factor in business recruitment, expansion, and retention is access to community assets like vital public services, infrastructure improvements, and essential quality-of-life programs for residents. The Alliance board is proud to lend its endorsement and support of the Move Arkadelphia Forward initiative that will allow our community to continue its momentum, fostering a stronger and more vibrant local economy for all residents.”

The Arkadelphia City Board of Directors has endorsed this visionary plan, presenting Arkadelphia voters with the opportunity to continue this journey of growth and improvement. From February 20 to March 5th, registered voters are encouraged to cast their ballots at the Arkadelphia Recreation Center, located at 2555 Twin Rivers Drive.

The Alliance urges all eligible voters to vote “YES” in this pivotal election that will shape the future trajectory of Arkadelphia, helping to provide the best services and amenities to Arkadelphia families.
