Director of Human Resources

Scroll Technologies started as a company that specialized in residential heating and cooling.  In 2006, it was acquired by a Danish company and became Danfoss Scroll Technologies.  We had over 200 patents in-house when purchased by Danfoss, so we possessed a lot of intellectual property that made our company attractive.  During the transition we have hosted a half dozen employees and families from Denmark who have  come over for two to three years to assist in the integration of our two companies.  Many of the higher-level executives within the Danfoss organization relocated to Arkadelphia and the board was excited by the level of enthusiasm here.

We are very interested in having our local college students come to work with us.  We want to provide them an opportunity to stay, build a career and put down roots.  We need these young minds.  In Denmark, you can go to college for free and they will also pay you a stipend.  At Danfoss Scroll Technologies, we will pay 100% of your tuition and books, and currently, your studies don't have to be related directly to our work.  We believe that education is power; it's the way of the future.

I think that Clark County is business supportive.  There are a myriad of people available to help us.  You want to be in a community that will help you.  When you are in a tough economy where you have to make difficult decisions, you need the community support that allows you to openly discuss those issues and find solutions that will allow you to minimize the overall impact. We have that support here.

When my wife and I first came here, we noticed that the people were friendly. It wasn't cliquish.  People invite you over for dinner; there were invitations to join churches.  We also have one of the lowest crime rates in the state. Like the water tower says, "It's a great place to call home."
