Clark County is a very warm and genuine place.  My family relocated to Arkadelphia nearly two years ago and we instantly felt we were in community with people we have known for years.

In terms of health care services, we offer the key services that any metropolitan hospital would provide.  These services include general surgery, orthopedic surgery, ophthalmology, OB/GYN, MRI, digital mammography, ultrasound and more.

We also offer the community a full-service emergency department that is fully staffed 24 hours a day.  We are part of a hospital system that offers the full array of tertiary medical services.  If a patient has an emergency medical need, the Baptist Health MedFlight can be in Arkadelphia in 22 minutes to transport patients to Little Rock.  Such an integration is a benefit you don't often find in communities of our size around the state and nation.

Our local hospital hosts enhanced ICU, known as eICU, which utilizes high resolution cameras and sophisticated software to monitor our patients.  As a result of this technology, we've seen a 23% decrease in mortality rates as well as a significant decrease in intensive care length of stay throughout the Baptist Health system.  I'm proud to say this technology is at work right here in Arkadelphia.
