Small Business Development

The Arkadelphia area is poised to help small businesses flourish through its programs and facilities. The community supports economic development as shown by the passage of a ½ cent economic development sales tax.  Arkadelphia offers a competitive business environment and enticing incentive programs at both the state and local level.

The Small Business Technology Development Center, a university-based economic development program, is a component of Henderson State University's School of Business. The Center provides consulting, training, research, and technology services for small business owners and entrepreneurs in southwest Arkansas. Services include developing business plans, financial projections and long term business management skills.

The Clark County Business and Technology Park, located within one mile of Interstate 30 exit 73, is equipped with advanced information technology infrastructure. The facility, currently in its second phase, has the goal of emerging as a regional leader in green businesses and knowledge-based companies. The facility also aims to house a business incubator that will aid entrepreneurs and expedite new business ventures.
