The Arkadelphia area offers a wide variety of parks and facilities to suit all ages and interests.
The 78-acre Youth Sports Complex, built in 2007, features soccer fields, baseball fields, practice fields, concession/restroom facilities and a three-and-a-half acre fishing pond.
The Arkadelphia Recreation Center sits on seven acres and offers a full basketball court, volleyball court, an indoor walking track, fitness equipment, and a concession stand. Behind the Recreation Center is a covered pavilion with a skateboard park.
Arkadelphia's Aquatic Park, a $3 million facility, was honored by the Arkansas Recreation and Parks Association in 2004 as the top recreation facility in the state. The park includes an eight-lane, 25-meter swimming area, a one-meter springboard, a drop slide, an open-flume waterslide, a zero-depth entry, and ample opportunities for sunbathing on a deck or on designated grassy areas. Swimming lessons are available, and the park can be rented for private parties.
The Gurdon City Park features playground and picnic facilities, as well as tennis and basketball courts on the shore of Hoo-Hoo Lake. The park is also a popular fishing spot that includes a boat launch.
Feaster Trail, designated as a national trail by the U.S. Department of Interior and the Arkansas State Parks Department, is a paved and lighted trail of about three miles winding through Arkadelphia to the Ouachita River and is ideal for walking, jogging or biking.
Clark County is in the first phase of establishing a hiking and mountain bike recreational trail on the south side of DeGray Lake, which has been partially funded by a grant from the by the Arkansas State Highway Commission.
A newly installed mountain bike trail in Feaster Park adds to that park's four softball fields, two playground areas, outdoor basketball courts, pavilions and picnic areas.
