Business Retention & Expansion Program

The Business Retention & Expansion (BRE) program of the Arkadelphia Regional Economic Development Alliance (the "Alliance") focuses on facilitating job growth of existing business and industry and retaining jobs due to possible downsizing or relocation.  The BRE program of the Alliance works with local businesses in Clark County to identify needs and challenges and to assist such businesses in addressing any identified issues. The Alliance is committed to its existing companies and believes strongly that these businesses are the community's biggest asset.

Components of the Alliance BRE program include:

  • One or more annual visits each year to existing businesses in Clark County.
  • Annual visits to corporate headquarters locations of certain Clark County businesses.
  • Use of a database to track corporate visits and existing business activity.

As part of the BRE program, the Alliance will work with local businesses to:

  • Mobilize and focus community support for existing businesses.
  • Encourage pro-active involvement in the community.
  • Assist with addressing local infrastructure needs.
  • Assist with local and state government issues that may arise.
  • Assist with finding low cost consulting services for technical assistance.

"I think that Clark County is business supportive.  When you are in a tough economy that forces you to make difficult decisions, you need the community support that allows you to openly discuss those issues and find solutions that will allow you to minimize the overall impact. We have that support here."
